The most HATED Aerosmith song

Aerosmith’s number 1 hit “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” is often divisive amongst fans of the band. Yet, the song was extremely important in the band’s career. The parallel with the father-daughter relationship present in “Armageddon” also made it personally significant for Steven Tyler.

The frustration is when seeing them live, you wanted to see the original songs as intended. So when the vocals are delayed, the crowd can’t sing along and enjoy the music as much. New records all good, just don’t vocally change the old ones live.

unfortunately for me, the last two albums are really boring, and the way he's singing now is not good to my ears, like a caricature... to me, 2010-2011 (submarine, suck it and see) was the peak of his talent. I hope to find good things in the future... But that's ok, I found a crazy talented duo those last few years (thanks to an AM concert) 'The Lemon Twigs'. Genuises to my ears.

You can say Alex evolved because he added new tools to his toolkit, BUT, he is only using these new tools and forgetting about all the old ones, and THAT is the greatest problem. I'm all in with that "evolving, adding, and developing" new styles.. but one thing was Humbug and Suck and see, where there were a mix of all the tools, and other thing is this high boring stuff that consist in high music theory stuff.. there's a reason why not all the professional musician highly educated out of conservatory aren't as popular as most rock bands.... TLDR: so this is why I hope they can go back into old style with these new tools they all developed. This only 'more complex and high music theory' stuff needs to stop. Unbearable records zZz.

This was a great video, but the bit about Final Fantasy VIII and Plug In Baby is quite far fetched. A scale going up and down is something composers been doing since 1600. I better link would have been Matt having a classic piano background, since you can find examples of exactly that in Bach fugues and counterpoints.

I hope he doesn't ever read into garbage questions like this because rather than staying in the same state Alex has and is evolved/evolving - you know as people get older, some of that stuff you did when you were young doesn't stick like it did, but you evolve it - rush is an excellent example of this. Alex and his style have aged like the best bottle of red wine in the world. He's breaking new ground - if i want to hear some of his older impossible to reproduce stuff like from the ritz to the rubble I'll listen to that - his newer stuff is built brand new from the ground up and its breaking new ground - Going back to rush , I'm sure people generations before me criticized or pondered the new direction taken in the 80s to synth wave - but today that's what I love about rush - they reinvented their sound every album in sort of era phases - AM is built to last and I just want to watch the chips fall where they may because from the inception to the present it's been one hell of a ride - there is no better active band or artist for that matter that is out there the way Alex and AM are. I hope we're discussing this decades from now when he's as old as tony bennett - blowing our very old minds
